With 2008 coming to an end, I'd like to sum up my last day of 2008.

I had half day off, and NJ4 is on block leave, so we had the whole afternoon to ourselves. NJ4 decided that we should explore Marina Barrage: the new water catchment area located in town.

It's a beautiful place to take a stroll, have a mini picnic, or just enjoy the view and breeze. You will see why in the following pictures:

Catch me when I fall.

Isn't the place very serene, pretty and nice? More pictures can be viewed over at Facebook.

We're ending the year at my place with a bottle of fruit wine. =)

Happy New Year everyone!

Married

Finally, we've gotten hold of some pictures of my elder brother's wedding. This picture is just a teaser, so for those who are interested, view the rest of the pictures at Facebook.

Orange Ipod Nano
Contented

I originally wanted 16gb, but the DFS at Australia's airport did not carry it, so NJ4 had to make do with 8gb. But it's okay, so long it's orange, anything goes. Besides, I don't think I need that much memory space.

There's nothing much to be merry about recently, but I'll get by.

He's just like the others. And I thought he was different. Oh, he sure was different, a million times worse than the others. He excel in that. Dinosaurs do not exist anymore. Period.

With my own loved ones (or so I thought) against me, I've never felt so alone before.

Elder Brother and Sister-In-Law are back from their honeymoon at Hokkaido and look what they bought back for me:

Another Tigger added to my ever-growing Tigger family! =)

Twilight
Caught Twilight today and although the entire vampire thing isn't all that realistic, the visuals were good.

I totally dig the Cullen's house! Literally a breath-taking view from Edward's room. I would die contented if I ever get a chance to live in a place like that. Sweet.

With NJ4 away in Australia, I was free on Sunday after my Yiptong family lunch gathering so Mandy and I met up and swept almost the entire Orchard Road. Our new love: Sephora!!!

Miss 开心果 gave NJ4 and I Christmas gifts in advance, thanks sweets.

NJ4's gift is an Elmo plushie, and it's really so him, hah! (private joke)

I was on leave on Monday and was supposed to be in Bangkok but because the trip was cancelled, it gave me an opportunity to pick my love from the airport. =)

He made this for me in Australia, and surprisingly, it was his Mom who instigated him to do so! LOL! I love the gorgeous bangle. =)

And then of course, there's the obligatory box of Krispy Kreme which is essentially nothing but sugar, flour and tonnes of empty calories.

Despite dissing how sinful the doughnuts are, I still savoured every single morsel of them. But I think I still prefer muffin-liked doughnuts [ie. left column second from top & right column first from top (ignore the top 2 out of place doughnuts)] to the classic ones.

I miss the Dunkin' Donuts I had back in Bangkok! BLAH!

Today, the Yiptong family came together for a lunch gathering at Hotel Grand Central - Tian Jin Restaurant.

Having them come down all the way from various parts of the world to attend my elder brother's wedding is already a great honour, and the lunch gathering today is another event to be thankful and grateful for.

To be honest, this is probably 1/4 or less of the entire Yiptong clan. LOL!

Altogether, say cheese!

The Yip Tong and YipTong generation.

The brothers are so darn cute!

The cousin who looks a little like Howard Lo IMO. =)

So, I now officially have a sister-in-law. Tea ceremony, solemnization and wedding banquet, all in a day.

11 years of courtship. 1st night as a lawfully wedded couple. May the two old love birds have everlasting love and a blissful marriage. 大哥,大嫂, congratulations. =)

Pictures will be up when the photographers send them over to the newly weds, and when I get hold of them. Till then, be patient. =)

P/S: My cousin from Toronto looks a little like Howard Lo from Eye for a Guy 2. Cute. =X HAHAHA.

As I'm typing this, my love is at Changi Airport T3 roaming the transit area alone, waiting to board the plane in an hour's time.

His family left for Australia last night and would return on a different date from him as well. It's like a replica of the Home Alone series, hah!

The next 6 days would be a bore without him, and because of the cancelled Bangkok trip, my leave from tomorrow till 23rd would be spent bumming around.

The only good thing is that my elder brother's wedding is tomorrow! =)

Can my Mom be ever more up-to-date than she already is? I'm utterly amazed, seriously!

She just called me at work and asked if things were okay between Jay-Jay and I, just because I removed the "married" status in Facebook. It's 8.50 AM for crying out loud! HAHAHA.

Oh my goodness! Mother, power lah!

With my Elder Brother's wedding happening just about a week later, Sparky was brought for grooming for the first time by professionals. I've never liked Sparky in short hair because he looks funny.

And I've eaten so much for dinner today that I swear if I'm being hung up-side-down, everything would flow out. Surprisingly, I feel okay. Liar.

Saturday was full of nonsensical shit when Mandy and I met up for a hair dye date. Her laughter has always been so infectious that I can't help but laugh at her and with her. Little Miss 开心果.

She got so excited over her new hair colour when it finally turned out the shade she's been trying to achieve with all her self dyes. It's good that the both of us walked out as 2 happy customers. =)

NJ4 and I then went to explore the new wing of North Point and I was so pleased to see Bakerzinn there! It's time to load up those calories!

We caught Bolt and I teared towards the end of the show. I just have this soft spot for dogs, especially really cute ones.

It's actually quite laughable because it was just an animated movie, yet it was able to make me tear. Blah.

A good watch indeed. =)

It is so freaking annoying that our trip to Bangkok which we planned and booked air tickets for in July 2008 have to be cancelled. And it is all because of all the crazy chaos going on there.

So what if the airport is open again, we're not crazy enough to risk our lives to go there and get shot/raped/trampled over/whatever.

It's a trip that the girls and I have been planning for so long already. Air tickets were booked in July, so go figure our anticipation for it which is now being flung out of the window. Damn.

With the untimely passing of my SE W850i, I targeted SE W595 as a replacement. However when my family and I were at M1 shop, the salesperson had to tempt me with SE G705 and after contemplating for ages, I decided on G705.

My Mom made a deal with me, of which I only had to pay for the cost of W595 and she would absorb the remaining cost of G705. Thanks for the advanced partial Christmas gift Mom! =)

Super cute carrier from M1. (Inclusive of toy)

Sony Ericsson G705
Hello Gorgeous!

Little gift that was included in the bag.

I'm loving my new toy. =)
It is so depressing that my Sony Ericsson W850i has decided its time is up. I have to admit that it didn't die on its own accord, but I killed it unintentionally. So it's really more like manslaughter than murder. =(

Hopefully I'd be able to get a new phone later today. So anyway, on a happier note, NJ4 who is always full of shit and surprises bought me a N.U.M singlet. Because of such surprises, he has lied to me countless times, but they were lies without malice or ill intentions. White lies.

After getting his car for so long, today was the first time (I think) we took the train to town! A good 6 hours of walking later, we had dinner at Waraku because I was craving for Mentai, but sadly, the new outlet at Heeren didn't have Mentai on their menu. =(

His: Cold Udon with Crab in Cream Sauce

Mine: Avocado and Tomato Salad with Japanese Dressing

And because it's the season to be jolly and the season for giving, I gave myself a present from Braun Buffel. LOL!

Braun Buffel wallet set

For a set like this, the price was ridiculously cheap! And because I've eyed on this design long ago when it was first launched, I bought it almost immediately without a second thought. I'm so happy! =)

And for those who are interested to know how huge exactly Tigger is:

HNF Staff Appreciation Dinner 271108

HNF's Staff Appreciation Dinner came and went and the Committee's efforts have paid off after meeting weekly for a month. Being part of the committee was fun, exciting, and very fufilling especially when you see the other staffs genuinely enjoy themselves at dinner.

With that, pictures and a video clip would narrate the entire event.

Part of the decorations done up by the Committee.

Finance Dept (L-R): Chooi Mei, Lay Kuan, May Tan, myself, Merri

Being part of the Committee, and being the youngest in HNF, I was assigned the duty of holding the lucky draw bowl to assist Emcee Ben Sng the entire night. I was so busy going up and down the stage that I didn't quite manage to sit down and enjoy my dinner, but it's all worth it when I won 3rd prize, hahaha!

3rd prize lucky draw winner with hands totally loaded. -_-

Our lucky 1st prize winner! Little Miss Green too!

3rd Prize: $150 Harvey Norman voucher. =)

Kudos to her for getting everything together.

And I'll end this post with a video clip of the Emcee's performance. Hilarious I tell you!

Totally enjoyed myself so much that I'm beyond expressive words. =D
