I have been backsliding. The frequency is increasing. Now I am starting to wonder if I should keep a log whenever an episode happens.

With Much Anticipation...

In exactly 2 months' time, I will be attempting my first ever half marathon.
In 3 months' time, I'll be jetting off to Bangkok followed by Kuala Lumpur.
In 4 months' time, I'll be doing Shape Run 2012, 10km. This is one even that's always snapped up faster than hotcakes. Glad to have already clinched my spot for it.

And I'll randomly end here.

Yet Another Sunday Brunch

And again, another deal voucher utilized for today's brunch. Our final deal voucher of the many we have purchased thus far.

Located at PARCO, Millenia Walk, this little eatery was amidst shops selling clothes, bags, wines, etc.

When we got there, it was nearly full house, and I think most of the patrons were there with this particular deal voucher as well as almost everybody had the same set. =p I am sure they weren't disappointed, because I sure enjoyed my brunch, especially the Mocha.

Mocha

Latte

For just $7.25 per pax, this was one heck of a super value meal! Massive food portions, and surprisingly good coffees. I would definitely go back for their Mocha, any time any day!

Impulsive Buys

So, someone mentioned to me that Threadless tops are on sale. Within 45 minutes of receiving that news, I browsed, selected 4 pieces, and checked out. This is the first time I've ever been so impulsive, or to term it nicely, quick and decisive.

Anyhow.. These are my buys, pictures credit to http://www.threadless.com/.

Copycat is my favourite of the 4, because it is way too cute and it's in my favourite colour. However, it's a special order item, so it will take 2-3 weeks longer to be shipped out. A little more costly for this particular item, but still damn cheap for Threadless tees. Now I have something to look forward to! =D

Staycation @ Festive Hotel

My family is on a 2-night staycation at Festive Hotel Sentosa, and I stayed for a night last night. We got the Deluxe Family King Room With Loft Bed, and needless to say, the loft bed was mine!

Daddy started goofing around as soon as I did, which was essentially once we entered the room. Seriously like father like daughter. =p

My Dad said, "You still haven't lost the child in you." when I kept bouncing around the room, climbing up and down the loft bed, and shrieking hysterically from self amusement. And I silently thought to myself: If only I was really as happy as I looked. But that's a whole other matter altogether. So, back to the loft!

Minus all the crazy snores from the adults, it was a pretty comfortable stay, especially when I was tucked snugly in the loft bed. If not because changing of bedsheets would be a chore for loft beds, I would have gotten myself one years ago. Maybe I should...

Junkie

Yesterday, I bought myself 2 X 250g Old Gold original dark chocolate, and 1 X 80g Dove dark chocolate.

Today, I bought myself 3 X 43g Dove dark chocolate, 1 X 43g Dove Hazelnut, Almond, Raisin chocolate, and 2 X 60g Boost chocolate.

I am such a chocolate junkie. Good thing I stuck to the promise I made to myself of running whenever I can. And ever since I became more active starting 27 Feb, I've clocked a total distance of 81.6km. Not very impressive considering that it averages out to about 4.8km daily for 17 days, but the sense of satisfaction set in when I do anything more than 7km in 1 session. Today was just 200m shy of that satisfaction, because of the rain. =(

Mad Love For Sunday Brunches

Some time back, I spotted this deal online and felt it was a good buy. $12 per pax for a 4-course brunch menu, and so I got it for the bf and I.

Because the bf managed to borrow the car from his brother, we decided that it was a good time to utilize the voucher as the location was totally out of the way at Frankel Avenue.

The deal consisted of coffee/tea, soup, a main dish, and dessert. So to the East we went!

The coffee was surprisingly good! Very aromatic even though it was just black coffee with raw brown sugar. The bf and I agreed on this point totally!

When the voucher mentioned 'soup', I was actually expecting some watered down mushroom or chicken soup. But what was presented to us left me speechless!

Pumpkin Soup

The Pumpkin Soup was thick, robust and full of flavour and the plus point was that it came piping hot, not lukewarm. I was so so so in love with the soup that I couldn't stop. It was seriously THAT good!

I ordered TSB English breakfast, which came with a bun of my choice, so I picked that peculiar looking bun, which they kindly toasted for me. Everything on that plate of my meal was superb, and I especially loved the scrambled eggs. Creamy, tasty, buttery and soft. I seriously want that chef as my personal brunch cook! =p

The bf had the Ultimate Swiss Rosti and I think he liked everything on his plate too because he cleaned his plate!

The meal ended on a sweet note, super picture worthy but taste wise, it didn't go too well with my palate because I could taste the freezer taste in the pastry.

For $12, this deal far exceeded my expectations because usually the portions and standards served for many other deals I've bought were only mediocre or simply disappointing. The Swiss Backer surprised me, and I would love to go back some day for their other offerings like Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royale.

Promise To Myself

So long as I do not have any plans after work, and so long as it doesn't rain, I will run.

So, no break for me today even though I'm aching all over a little. It's not an excuse. I am this close.

2nd March Madness

Lately, my girlfriend is into crazy-picture-taking expeditions, or to put it in a nicer manner, photography. So she suggested that we should increase the frequency of us meeting up to take pictures of anything and everything. And within a week of talking about it, we got down to our very first "expedition".

And as usual, I'll let the photos roll...

Simple dinner to rev up our metabolism!

Xiao Mei Mei on the loose!

A lot of energy was expensed off from the time we had dinner to the time we crossed the Helix Bridge. So we headed to TWG for desserts! A girl's best friend on the lips (a moment on the lips), but worst enemy on the hips (a lifetime on the hips), BUT WHO CARES!

Sometimes, I really do not know where this girl gets all her energy from, but when she's hyper, she's REALLY AWFULLY HYPER! Like a little kid high on sugar rush or something!

Like a kid. Like a kid. Like a kid. HAHA!

Somehow love this picture a lot as it emits a pretty calming effect.

We'll have our Part 2 soon some day. =)
